Research Studios has recently collaborated with The Monsters to add some charm to our recently refurbished basement floor, complete with brand new WC: all stylish Italian white porcelain, stainless-steel toilet brush and freshly painted magnolia walls. The Monsters turned up armed with Posca pens, stickers and vinyl stencils; we fed them burritos and mugs of tea; and – hey presto – the best loo in London. The Monsters is an eclectic collective consisting of six highly distinctive and insanely talented illustrators: Mariko Jesse, James Field, David Humpries, Cameron Law, Tom Genower and Lynn Hatzius. Each works independently for a range of clients in the public and private sectors, with the collective coming together for promotional projects like this one. You can out more about their work here.
