Sound and Music

Sound and Music Brand
Research Studios has created the logo, visual language, brand guidelines and core pieces of marketing collateral for new music organisation Sound and Music. Brought together by the Arts Council, Sound and Music merged four leading organisations; British Music Information Centre, Contemporary Music Network, Society for the Promotion of New Music and the Sonic Arts Network.
The simple and playful new logo is the centre of a vibrant and dynamic language which offers Sound and Music the consistency it needs as a new organisation, yet the flexibility for its identity to grow and develop. Careful consideration had to be given to the spectrum of different sound and music forms, festivals, tours and live events it will promote and work with. In response to this, a visual language was developed embrace this. The logotype breaks into 6 core elements which become a toolkit of shapes, surface patterns, containers and graphic devices that can be used to create arresting material while staying on-brand.
Consulting across the organisation throughout the project and latterly with the new brand and marketing team, Research Studios has produced an announcement card, stationery, banners and quick time projections for events and parties.
