Super Contemporary at the Design Museum, London

The Freedom Space
Neville Brody’s freedom space has opened at the Design Museum (London) as part of their latest exhibition, Super Contemporary.
Neville is one of fifteen designers commissioned to create an exhibit for the heart of the show.

The exhibition celebrates London’s progressive spirit and the creative minds who live and work in it.
Go to www.thefreedomspace.com to hear the audio output on freedom radio, see surveillance visuals from freedom TV and view the latest thoughts on the freedom wall. Visit the museum to be part of the project!

Super Contemporary runs from the 3rd of June to 4th October 2009 and features other works from design luminaries such as Paul Smith, Zaha Hadid, Wayne Hemmingway, El Ultimo Grito and Baber Osgerby to name but a few.

There are three aspects to the exhibition, 15 main commissions inspired by London, a 40 year design history timeline which includes The Face covers and Body Shop annual report by Brody and the 2008 D&AD annual designed by Research Studios. The final aspect of the exhibition are personal maps of London which include Nick Hard’s map with David Rosen of Pilcher Hershman.

More will be coming to both this and thefreedomspace site as the project progresses.
